Water Harvesting
With clean water being a necessity of life, we believe we should all do our part to save this precious resource. One of the best ways we can personally save water is by literally saving it in a reservoir. Clean water falls from the sky, and fills the air with moisture. Clean water can be harvested in a variety of ways, and should be practiced by anyone with an outdoor roof or space to hold it.
IBC Totes
Globally, IBC Totes are used for the shipping of bulk fluids. After use, they require a repurposing, making them much more affordable water storage. If space is limited, Barrels have been used throughout time to hold fluids. IBC Totes typically have a capacity of 1000 liters, are held within a stackable metal cage, and have a spout for emptying contents. Not only are these totes perfect for harvesting rain water, they are extremely versatile in their use. Water storage is necessary in case of emergency. Summer forest fires, frozen pipes in the winter, or issues with the electrical grid, don't find yourself without this necessity of life.

It is important to note that IBC Totes are used for a variety of fluids. If you are repurposing for water harvesting for yourself, your animals or your garden, get Food Grade tanks!

Once you carry your own water you will learn the value of every drop.
African Proverb
Save Water
End the Absurdity
Globally, clean water is a scarce resource. This can be seen in developed countries by the implementation of water meters. By paying for a resource we become more aware of our consumption. In under developed countries the clean water scarcity is far more evident by the pollution of water sources and illness present in the population.
How can we make an impact and carry our own water when many homes have water at the turn of a tap?

Big Impact
Big Savings
Stop pooping in clean water!!
01
What?!
Toilets in households around the world flush the same tap water from the kitchen, into a holding tank awaiting the next flush. What was clean water is now contaminated to waste.
In communities with water meters, people literally pay for every flush.
03
Save the Water
Turn the water to your toilet off. Never again does your toilet need to cost you, or the environment.
Sinks are typically plumbed into a greater system, but washing machines are simply removing the drain pipe and placing it in a large barrel. This water is then manually moved to the toilet tank, allowing us to not only see the volume of water used for laundry but also offer an opportunity to carry your own water to value every drop!
02
Learn the Value of Water
Washing machines take an average of 45 gallons per laundry load. Newer more efficient machines have lowered this to 15 gallons.
Toilets average at 7 gallons a flush.
Laundry requires clean water.
Toilets do not.
I use gallons so you can visually picture a big jug of milk.

Sustainable Lifestyle
This small lifestyle change has enormous impacts in everyway. We become more conscious of our water usage with Laundry - a normal part of life, yet veiled from our awareness. We save money. We save clean water. We save energy requirements at wastewater treatment facilities. We encourage new building methods that incorporate water saving methods.
Feel pride when you look into your reused toilet water, and be grateful for the reminder to close the lid!
